Home Study Courses We also offer home study correspondence course on a year round basis. Courses approved for credit toward experience by the Ohio Department of Commerce Classroom format courses have now been approved by the State of Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance. The 50 hr. Low Pressure Boiler Operator, 75 hr. High Pressure Boiler Operator and 125 hr. Stationary Steam Engineer courses meet the requirements of Section 1301:3-5-10 of the Ohio Administrative Code for credit toward 600 hrs. (Low Pressure), 1,000 hrs. (High Pressure) and 1,000 hrs. (Steam Engineer) of experience toward the required hours to take the license examinations.
